Because your eyebrows frame your face, they're arguably one of your most important facial features. Which is frustrating if you have naturally sparse brows, or over-plucked them once upon a time.
Up until now, your options for enhancing them haven't been that great: brow gel or pencils (annoying to do every day), or permanent eyebrow tattooing (quite a commitment).
Microblading is a great treatment for all ages - male and female.
Microblading FAQs
How long does a microblading treatment take?
You'll need 2 treatments, 4 to 6 weeks apart, and each treatment takes 1.5 hours.
It's a meticulous process - which is a good thing, because the results will last for up to 2 years before starting to fade. So it's not something that can be done in a rush.
And your Rubywaxx beauty therapist in Auckland will take care in drawing in a customised eyebrow shape first with a removable pencil.
Does microblading hurt?
Microblading is a type of semi-permanent eyebrow tattoo, so there is a small amount of discomfort. Your Rubywaxx therapist will minimise the discomfort as much as possible by applying a numbing cream, followed by a liquid anaesthetic.
Is there any downtime?
That's one of the really cool things about eyebrow microblading: you're ready for your next selfie right away.
If you're wondering why you then need the second appointment, it's this follow-up that turns an already good result into a truly "wow" result.
Plus there's no after-care required: you can rub your eyebrows as much as you like without having to worry about smudging, and you can swim and spa as much as you like.
Just come and see us at Rubywaxx in Auckland for a touch-up when your eyebrow tattoo starts fading.

Do you have any microblading before and after photos?
Yes - here are photos of Rubywaxx customers. As you can see in the before and after photos below, the colour, shape and density of the brow is customised to suit your face and your colouring.
What if I don't have any eyebrow hair at all?
If you don't have any eyebrow hair at all - or just a traditional block tattoo - the eyebrow experts at Rubywaxx can perform an eyebrow reconstruction using microblading. This may take 3 treatments, and the eyebrow reconstruction treatments are a little more expensive because they are harder to do and require more skill.
